Really nice owners and very reasonable prices for nice cabins..a great vacation place
The friendliest and most laid back resort owners I've ever come across. So very accommodating for every need of our large group. If you want a laid back and keep to yourself week in the wilderness, that works here. If you want a social fun loving environment with group games and entertainment, that also works here. Anything in between also works here.
Great place, nice people, and awesome fishing on Kitchi and Cass! Been going personally for 2 decades while family and friends have gone for over 3! We look forward to going on this trip to Kitchi Landing every year and it's a blast!
A piece of my heart is still in Kitchi. My BF and I traveled to spend time with close friends at their seasonal stay on Kitchi Landing. The entire resort is like one, big, happy, extremely inclusive family. The kids are all playing together, the parents are all connecting, everyone is looking out for one another while living out those Minnesota Summer Days we brag to everyone about. My only complaint, the mosquitos, and even they provide the benefit of reminding you of what a wonderful time you had days after while you’re still itching at your bites. Thank you, Kitchi. You’re the best!
Our extended family just completed a fun week in all the cabins at the resort. My brother, Ray and I stayed in Forest View 1. My son, Nate and his family stayed in Lake View 3. Others stayed in 2, 4, and 5. These cabins are clean, in good shape and very nice. I won Bingo on June 1st and got to pick a prize from the "Kitchi Lake Resort's Prize bucket. It was a great time from the first day to the last day! We also rented one of the resort's pontoon boats. Talk about luxury boating. It was nice for fishing and evening lake cruises. When it came to dock-side service, the staff was right there to make sure the boat had fuel and a safe departure from the dock. There were plenty of docks to tie-up multiple boats. Speaking of fishing, the Northern Pike, small-mouth bass and perch were biting. One member of our group caught a couple keeper walleyes. The best fishing is in the lake. As it turned out, other members of my family recognized the name of the resort in the pictures we took. I got a text message informing me that my nephew, Cody, went to High School in Mitchell, SD with the resort owner! It's a small world. The owners have a history with Kitchi Landing Resort that you would find very interesting. When considering a place to come on vacation, this place has all you need to make a memory of a lifetime!
Owners are fantastic. Will be working hard on some of the items that need upgrading & additions I’m sure. Great fishing.
Val and Steve are amazing hosts! We put an RV up there this year to try it out, and absolutely loved everything about it as well as all of the other seasonal folks, so much so that we signed our lease for next year and can’t wait until opening season! Grounds are very well kept in manicured, nice beach area for adults and kids, plenty of super fun resort activities are planned throughout the year. Keep doing what you’re doing and living your dream, and making it possible for the rest of us to live our dreams!
